What is it About?

The theme for this year’s TRICKLET Conference is ‘Model building in empirical translation studies’.

In recent years, a wide range of empirical studies have yielded ample insight into various aspects of translation and interpreting, using increasingly sophisticated corpus-linguistic or psycholinguistic methods.

TRICKLET 22 will take stock of this empirical insight and review the contributions of these studies to an emerging model of translation theory that is grounded in sound empirical evidence.

Additionally, this conference will also encourage depth of insight into the role of language theory in an empirical translation model.
