About This Event
This is sure to be an engaging event focusing on technological innovation for specialized linguistic domains.
As the fourth TISLID conference, it will be held from Compultense University in Madrid and hosted by the UNED-based ATLAS research group together with the University of Almería, Complutense University of Madrid, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and the University of Wolverhampton.
TISLID’ 22 aims to provide an enriching forum for researchers, teachers, educational representatives, language specialists and translators as they share their knowledge and promote academic debate regarding digital language technologies, with a special focus on technological potentials for promoting communication and (lifelong) learning.

Mark Pegrum is a distinguished associate professor in the Graduate School of Education at UWA, where he is the Deputy Head of School (International), with responsibility for overseeing offshore programmes and international connections.
In his courses, Mark specializes in digital technologies in education, with a particular focus on mobile learning.
He is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and his teaching has been recognised through Faculty and University Excellence in Teaching Awards, as well as a 2010 national Australian Learning & Teaching Council (ALTC) Excellence in Teaching Award.
Nicky Hockly is the Director of Pedagogy of The Consultants-E and she has worked in the field of English Language Teaching since 1987, as well as being an international plenary speaker, trainer and consultant.
She gives workshops and training courses for teachers all over the world as well as having written several prize-winning methodology books about new technologies in language teaching, many with co-author Gavin Dudeney.
Julio C Rodriguez has published and presented extensively on instructional technology and design-based research, including a co-edited first major publication on design-based research in computer-assisted language learning.
In the last 25 years, he has led several instructional design and technology integration projects.
Within the broad field of instructional technology, his primary interests are in the areas of faculty development and the design and implementation of quality online learning experiences.
