ITI Conference 2019

The Institute of Translating and Interpreting was founded in 1986 and is now 3000 plus members strong, with members from the UK and all across the globe. The institute is based on the UK, and is the sole organization in the area that offers individual membership for translators and other language experts on the professional level.

With the Institute's mandate to further the industry's professional standard to the highest level, the institute inculcates their code of professional conduct to all its members. They also provide their members with continued growth and professional development by having a variety of services and products available to them.

The institute will be conducting another conference this year on May, with the 2017 conference being a huge success, garnering 350 plus attendees from over 20 countries, this year's conference will be taking place in Cutler's Hall, Sheffield for the very first time.

The conference's theme is "Beyond the core: forging the future of the profession", it aims to provide translators and interpreters a common ground to define and discuss the current standing on today's translation and interpretation profession. Based on the conference's programme, they will be featuring various talks, from the role of translators in this day of automation to stress management.
