The Institute of Translating and Interpreting was founded in 1986 and is now 3000 plus members strong, with members from the UK and all across the globe. The institute is based on the UK, and is the sole organization in the area that offers individual membership for translators and other language experts on the professional level.
With the Institute's mandate to further the industry's professional standard to the highest level, the institute inculcates their code of professional conduct to all its members.
