What is Spring Into Action?

Spring Into Action is a career development opportunity for translators, interpreters, editors, and academic linguists to enhance their skills, deliver better outputs, and potentially progress further in their careers. The conference is jointly organized by the Spanish Language Division (SPD) of the American Translators Association (ATA) and the Association of Translators and Interpreters of Florida (ATIF). The event is expected to attract a diverse attendeeship from all over the world coming from diverse backgrounds from students, academics, to language industry professionals. 

What Can Attendees Expect?

The 3-day event will be packed full of multidisciplinary presentations and workshops. From presentations about the Spanish language to specialized topics on environmental translation, healthcare translation and interpretation, computer-assisted tools (CAT), industry best practices, and etc., beginners to experienced translators and interpreters will easily find a number of activities that will fit their career interests. 

Attendees are also eligible to obtain educational credits from the following institutions; American Translators Association (ATA), the Court Interpreter Certification and Regulatory Program (CICRP), the Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters (CCHI) and the National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters (NBCMI). 

Lastly, the event will be an excellent networking opportunity for students, academics, and experienced language professionals alike.
