Conference: ELRC Conference 2022

Intended Audience

The European Language Resource Coordination (ELRC) will be hosting the ELRC Conference, which is on its sixth iteration this year. The conference will focus on Large Language Models, Multimodal Language Data, and Low-resource NMT in Europe. The conference is open, not just for language industry practitioners and translators from Europe but other countries as well.

What Can You Expect?

Europe has been a world leader when it comes to research on language-centric Artificial Intelligence. There are a lot of efforts to make Europe more independent from the outside world when it comes to language technology research. This is vital for industrial, commercial, and security reasons. Moving an independent Europe can only be achieved by uniting and by being open to new ideas. That’s why the motto for this year’s ELRC Conference, “Think big – For Europe’s Multilingual Future” is very apt. 

The 6th ELRC Conference will take place on 31 March 2022. It will be conducted through  Zoom and YouTube.  Aside from focusing on the latest European solutions and activities related to large language models, multimodal language data, and the planned European Language Data Space, the conference will also provide a response to the war in Ukraine, through its support of the “Crisis response without borders” initiative.
