What Is It?
The Washington Association for Bilingual Education is excited to bring people together again this spring for their annual conference, with a theme of 296 LANGUAGES: Our stories, our voices, our future.
This year, many educators have been challenged to continue to innovate in order to meet the needs of their students, and the WABE commends these translation education professionals.
The plan for this conference is to come together to provide opportunities for attendees to learn from experts and also one another.
What Can You Expect?
This conference is sure to have something for everyone, with presentations, breakout sessions, and exhibits to stimulate the imagination and engage the intellect.
Keynote speakers will include Tonya Ward Singer, Dr. Elizabeth Howard, and Dr. Sabrina Wesley-Nero.
Some of the breakout sessions will include:
And more...
All sessions will be presented in-person at the conference, and, depending on interest, the WABE may be able to stream in-person sessions to a virtual audience as well.
With so much on the table this year, the WABE has put together a packed schedule, and any academic linguist or translation service provider can benefit from attending this conference.
