We are seeking a skilled freelance lawyer/sworn translator fluent in both French and English for remote translation services. This role involves providing accurate and legally sound translations for various legal documents, including contracts, court rulings, immigration papers, and official certificates.

Job Description:

• Translate legal documents from French to English and vice versa with precision and adherence to legal terminology.
• Ensure that all translations maintain legal validity and comply with relevant jurisdictional requirements.
• Certify translations as required, ensuring their acceptance by courts, government agencies, and other official institutions.
• Collaborate with legal professionals, clients, and project managers to meet deadlines and specific requirements.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive legal documents.

Requirements:

• Fluency in both French and English, with a strong grasp of legal terminology in both languages.
• Sworn translator certification or official accreditation as a legal translator.
• Proven experience in legal translation (1–3 years preferred).
• Familiarity with legal systems in French-speaking and English-speaking jurisdictions.
• Ability to work remotely and deliver high-quality translations within set deadlines.
