We are seeking an experienced English to Dine (Navajo) translator for a freelance, remote translation project. The role involves translating various documents and content from English to Navajo with an emphasis on accuracy, cultural relevance, and linguistic integrity.

Job Description:

• Translate diverse documents and materials from English to Navajo while ensuring accuracy, tone, and cultural relevance.
• Proofread and edit translations to ensure grammatical correctness, fluency, and high-quality output.
• Adapt content to resonate with Navajo-speaking audiences while preserving the meaning and context.
• Collaborate with project managers to meet deadlines and ensure the translation meets client expectations.

Requirements:

• Native or near-native fluency in Navajo with strong proficiency in English.
• Proven experience in translating English to Navajo (3+ years preferred).
• Strong cultural and linguistic understanding of both Navajo and English.
• Detail-oriented with excellent written communication skills.
• Reliable internet access for remote work and collaboration.
